Our Mission Statement: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Youth Group strives to develop faith in young adults as they take an active role in our Church. We work hard to use our talents and positive attitudes to inspire and be role models for all ages. We are always welcome to new members who are looking to have fun and serve with new energy in a Christian family.
This group is for high school students of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish, but friends are always welcome! Meetings are held twice a month, more before special events or fundraisers. We plan, play and pray (and snack) together.
Our main event is the Annual Diocesan Youth Convention in February, which is a weekend for Catholic students held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. This weekend is planned by high school students and about 800 people attend. Activities include speakers, Friday night festival, learning sessions that you choose, Saturday night dance and Sunday Mass with the Bishop. Our group plans fund raisers to help pay attendance at the convention, which our Parish generously supports!
Some of our members will be attending World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland in July, 2016! We are blessed to have the support of our families, Pastor and Parishioners in attending this special pilgrimage!
Our fundraisers include:
Recycling collection… drop off your cans & bottles at Nickel City Redemption on Lake Ave. (Save-a-Lot plaza) Just let them know your donation is for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Youth group.
Polish Dinner… Our second Polish dinner will be held October 2015.
